Dr. Carothers saved my life! Went to 5 ortho surgeons with horrible pain in my right knee. Each of the previous docs said it was arthritis and sent me along my way. Dr. Carothers said, “let’s not look at this as an ortho issue”. He was the first doc to aspirate my knee and do bloodwork. Sure enough I had a septic joint and was full body septic. Had emergency within 24 hours of seeing him. 12 months later he did a total knee replacement at the age of 41. Dr. Carothers replaced both my hips, a month apart, 12 years ago. He, quite literally, gave me my life back. Both hips continue to be painfree, have full ROM, and have allowed me to fully enjoy an active lifestyle. I have recommended him to several friends and patients (I am a Therapist) over the years.
