I've gotten two haircuts here and both have been the best cuts I've ever had. First shop I've found that excels at more alt cuts rather just the NM taper fade. first I got was a slight modern mullet, second is a wolf cut. 10/10 would recommend

Funky hole in the wall old school looking barbershop downtown. Great music, and rotating art on the wall of various sorts (when I was there, it was fabric art in the form of T-shirts etc). Gabe gave an awesome cut and we walked through several scenarios and options as far as beard trim, cut length, etc etc. This was my 1st visit and certainly will be back. Yes, you have to park on the street and in theory it's pay parking. Not sure why ABQ makes people pay for parking downtown given I think they'd be better off NOT charging money and encouraging folks downtown for business. But, it's WAY cheap to park anyway, and lots of spaces around. I already have my... read full review

I’ve been through quite a few barbers, but Ralphie at Ace Barber Shop in downtown Albuquerque is hands down the best. He took his time, paid attention to detail, and even used a straight razor—something no other barber has ever done for me. Most barbers seem to rush through the cut, but Ralphie made sure everything was done right. On top of that, he’s got great conversation and just seems like a super cool dude. If you’re looking for a barber who actually cares about the quality of the cut, Ralphie is the guy to go to. Highly recommend!
