I recently went for a silk press, and the owner did my hair. She was very knowledgeable, and she had me in and out. My hair looked great and the shop was very nice.

They use relaxer/texturizer/texture-altering products of some sort. The owner was notified verbally, and she reassured that they don’t have any product of the sort in the salon. It’s wash day about 2 weeks after the service, My daughter’s hair reeked of rotten eggs/chemical, approx 2 from the root around her head is completely straighter and will not revert; definitely not heat damage and her hair is complete virgin and natural. I called back to let her know that it definitely was a product of that nature and had to have been brought in when she was not on site; the salon was closed. I left a detailed and professional message explaining the entire situation on their online forum.. no reply and nothing was done about it. two more weeks later, it still smells even after using neutralizing, natural, and bond repairing products both wash days.

First time at House of Zen…and I LOVE my hair . Zenda was so kind and very knowledgeable ! Beautiful salon and high tech equipment. I have all faith that Zenda is going to restore my hair back to health. I honestly can’t wait to go back . It’s worth the 45 min drive.

Zenda did my hair September 3, 2023 and I had a great experience. My hair looked great and she gave me a steam treatment , a blow out with a silk press /curls it lasted 10 days. The steam treatment made my hair shiny and silky. The owner Zenda is very nice with a wealth of knowledge on hair care. I wish her hair salon was closer to my house but it’s DEFINITELY Worth the hour drive and will go back. The salon is beautiful!!! Love! Love! Love! The salon is glam vibes all around. The owner is nice and friendly, not afraid to chat. The stylist Shae did my small knotless braids with boho ends. She was quicker than I expected and the braids are so neat and painless. I’ll definitely make my way back there!Service: Braids

When I first step foot into Zen Hair Lounge, I thought that it was a nice place. It’s decorate very nice, and looks really nice. Though I can’t say the same about the employees. The lady that did my braids (zy’shae) knew I couldn’t find the right hair and said that my hair that I bought was fine but was too long. So I then went to the store and purchased 2 packs of 18 inch hair with 4 bundles in each thinking she could keep feeding in hair down the braid as many people told me. I get their she seemed to forget I couldn’t find the hair and tells me she’ll stretch it. She starts doing my hair and pauses to go get pizza and eats it while I’m sitting in her chair. I don’t know about you guys but I have never went to a stylist who takes lunch breaks. Anyway she finishes and continues to do my hair, she’s done after 2 hours. And my hair is thick at the top, thin at the bottom, and the parts are huge and don’t all match in size. It looked like a rushed job tbh. I told her and the owner how I didn’t not like it and how I wanted a refund or at least a partial refund, or for them to be redone. They said they would not refund me because I got “the wrong hair”, and that if I wanted it redone I had to pay at least half. For 240 dollars this was not what I wanted at all, but you live and you learn I guess. Although they did not refund me, the owner was nice about the situation, can’t say the same about the one that did my hair though.Service: Box Braids
