Unlike many of the Retro Fitness franchises the owners of this gym are almost always there. Frank not only manages the gym on-site but also works out at this gym. He has first hand experiences when gym equipment needs service and jumps right on it. The place is clean and there is no gym smell. The gym has a diverse clientele from professionals to housewives to ink folks and real gym rats. Everyone respects each others privacy and nobody makes a lot of noise or throws weights around. Staff when not busy cleans the premises. I've been a member of several different gyms and this one is really good. I do wish I could buy a diet Coke on the way out the door but this is forbidden by corporate policy so I bring my own in a a cooler. I am a little suspicious of vitamin water and muscle milk. If push came to shove I would take Starbucks Coffee.

I have been a member at Retro Fitness for a number of years and I can tell you it is a pleasure to workout in that facility. The facility is spotless and the staff are always very courteous and helpful. I almost feel like Norm did when he entered the Cheers bar in Boston and Sam, Woody, Cliff and Coach all say hello! Add to that the scanner you use when you enter never forgets to tell you “Happy Birthday” on your birthday! It is the most enjoyable gym I have ever had a membership for.

Won't beat it for the price. Staff is nice and overall it's kept pretty clean. Broken machines are fixed quickly. Bit crowded at times and some of the members are lacking basic gym etiquette, but can't fault retro for that
Ventilation needs to be improved somehow. I typically go in the mornings and on hot or rainy days sometimes it's really muggy and gross inside, especially by the free weights. They have the ceiling fans on most of the time but it's not enough. Sometimes it feels (and smells) like you're working out directly in the locker room. Need to turn on the AC earlier or somehow get some fresh air circulating or something. Still can't beat it for the price though.

I’d actually like to rate them at 0. My husband’s retro closed and he drove about 30 mins to go work out at this one. One of the younger employees stopped him about 20-30 mins into his work out and told him to leave because his manager told him this isn’t his home gym. They wouldn’t even let him finish his work out! This is completely unacceptable. He would’ve made that his home gym but due to the manager’s and this employee’s behavior we will not be joining. Learn some customer service behaviors. You could use some training on your approach.
