    Sam is great, Service is impeccable, Preston is very impressive, each detail was explained, what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the problem.

    I noticed that my AC had ceased working to actually keep the house cool, and although it was still running, it was clear to me by the odd sound I was hearing on occasion, that something was definitely wrong. Since I had been given a great recommendation from a relative who had been very pleased with Affordable Heating and Cooling, I thought I would try them myself this time, instead of my normal service provider, Horizon. I am so glad I did! Sam, the owner himself, picked up after maybe two rings and within a few hours at most, Preston was at my door. Sam had told me who to expect and most accurately at what time too. I should say that the call was this week, and August being peak season no doubt. I feel certain that their prompt response isn't because they aren't busy, but just that they are extremely efficient. Preston was very nice..pleasant, polite, and clearly knowledgeable. He explained what he was checking, doing, and what it all meant. Let me tell you, I felt terrible that there were bees in the outside unit and he actually got stung! Still, he made no fuss whatsoever about it and couldn't have been any more casual about brushing it off. Preston called his findings into Sam, just to confer his thoughts with Sams lifetime of experience and they determined to check and see if I truly needed a switch of some sort, but felt that I may not. 3 #'s of freon plus the service fee and that would be all. Preston actually said to me, "WE' got lucky", when he told me the good news, which really made me believe that he/the company honestly feels sensitive to the customer's anguish at any necessarily large expense. Preston explained that on the outside chance it didn't continue to cool after he left, it could still require the replacement switch. Well as it turned out, it did. I had to call them back but I always trusted it would be just fine, given my initial experience. My second call today, had Sam picking up just as promptly as the first time, and he assured me that Preston would be right out and with no additional service visit fee attached, of course. He went further to say that all of the expense I had invested so far would be applied 100% if the next step failed and the compressor was indeed frozen. Big money. Sam reassured me that he really didn't think so though, and that the next conservative measure would do the trick. And he was right! It did! Had I chosen a company that went directly to the most expensive diagnosis instead of being so considerately patient I would have paid $1000 -1500 more for the perfectly running system I am enjoying once more. I was happy to pay by check but they do take credit cards with a very fair 4% upcharge. I know that Affordable Heating and Cooling will most definitely be my go- to-service company from now on and I've already passed along their name and number to my brother. Thank you again, Sam (Santos DiTizio) and Preston, for taking such good care of my issue and my home. I am comfortable once more. This is long, I realize, but I couldn't be any more pleased or impressed with your manner of doing business and want people to know.
