I used Gillespie to install new hardwood floors in my house and to refinish some existing hardwood floors. They provided a quote upfront that covered the entire job without any surprises, they were easy to schedule with and did a great job overall. The refinished floors in particular look great and were worth the expenditure.

The best communication from any contractor we’ve ever worked with — Brendan and his team at Gillespie Floors installed new pre-finished hardwood in our 1500sqft Hoboken condo. The results look great and Brendan kept us informed on progress daily as the work happened while we were out of town. I really appreciated his straightforward and honest communication style and since he was on the job himself we were kept informed of the various challenges they faced with leveling out our 120 year old subfloors. Brendan, Greg, and team went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right, helping us install + finish beautiful new red oak floors on our second floor.
Through no fault of theirs, there was a very rare issue with one of the sanding machines where debris caught stuck in a machine during the sanding process. (We only figured this out after the fact.) This caused subtle scratches to show up on our floors only AFTER they had been stained and sealed and the job was done.
