Haven’t known if I can go ahead and write about this but; Should you ever lose someone you love, I would recommend Prout Funeral home, NJ. They were amazing!! They are knowledgeable in A LOT of funeral customs, practices and how best to facilitate a funeral during a pandemic. When we told them we would require video chat services, they even suggested a photo tribute to play for our online guests who could not be physically present. At the burial they shared a brief sentiment about butterflies and their role in soul carrying which, was remembered by many of our loved ones. Their facility in New Jersey is exceptionally clean, comfortable, inviting, and most important, bright. It gives a heaven-like homey feeling. Typically many funeral homes are dark but, we enjoyed the natural lighting at Prout funeral home. We are grateful also for all the extras, (some we may not even know of,) including; a private viewing, accepting our video footage and photo tribute, and facilitating our zoom meeting.The program ran seamlessly and the physical viewing was done naturally and with great care. Robert Prout and his family showed respect and professionalism from the beginning to the end giving us peace of mind and closure. When we first met, Mr. Prout made a point to let us know they have 24hr phone service, and one time I missed the person I had called for and they called back shortly. They were literally always available to meet our needs. We truly appreciate that they do their best to schedule only one funeral at a time, and their facility and attention was ours for the duration of the funeral. It makes a huge difference, especially during a pandemic. We were stricken by shock and grief and the Prout family just cared for us, the deceased and all details of the funeral. They helped us through the entire process of loss, mourning and most important… celebrating the life of our beloved Dr. Juliette Kiabilua. RIP.
Bob Prout & his daughter Julia are extremely caring and efficient. No detail was forgotten even when the family was disorganized. They take a huge weight off the family's shoulders during a difficult time. I recommend Prout Funeral Home very highly.
