Amazing! I highly recommend. I've never had a spray tan before, so I wasn't positive of what to expect. I had read/seen horror stories, so I was a little hesitant and decided to try it out during a week that I didn't have work, just in case. It's been one day, and I think it looks great! I wanted to look natural, almost as if I had been out in the sun for a few days, instead of hibernating as I have been for the last several months. Getting a spray tan is not something you want to take lightly, so I read Yelp reviews first before making a decision. I emailed Sun Spa in Upper Montclair, and Maria got back to me right away. When I met with her, she was extremely friendly and helpful. This may seem strange, but I appreciated the fact that her skin looked healthy and natural! That was a big plus in my book. The waiting room is cozy, and I felt comfortable the entire time (which can be difficult in a tanning spa/salon). I chose to have my spray tan applied directly (not in a booth). It took all of about 5-8 minutes. They advise you to wear loose, dark clothing and you can't shower for at least 8 hours. I was worried about getting dye on my bedsheets, so I slept on a towel, but nothing seemed to transfer over. I think it's only if you skin comes in contact with water/you sweat before your first shower. So far I'm pleased with it. I'm excited to get it done for my best friend's wedding in early June when I probably will still be pale and just want a bit of color. I will update with pictures at that point. Pricing is reasonable (3 sessions costs $139), and it's cheaper if you use the booth.
This is the most gracious tanning salon. There are options for every type of tanner. I happen to be a spray tan lover. I first had Maria do a hand-held sprayer. She explained the ease of the booth for my next visits and I was equally impressed with the results. Travel far and wide for this place.
The best! I have been a customer for over 17 years and the owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They monitor my time in and days between appointments so I don't burn, while maximizing my results.
