I only come here for hair extensions and they never disappoint. Great color match and amazing quality at a very affordable price. The gentleman sales person is very helpful and friendly.

Idk if its a racial thing but ive had to stop in this store 3 times as im just staying in the area visiting a friend. Each time ive had people follow me around the store like not even subtly will stand right next to me while im looking at items and then when I pick something they take it to the register for me.
Now the first time im like... okay they have a theft problem whatever. But they dont follow the Latinos around.
Im not even from here and undoubtedly have more money than anyone else shopping at this store. Go follow the people that are actually stealing and not the people who have money to spend.

I went in to grab some products for my hair as I had just gotten it braided, and as soon as I start looking around, one of the attendants asked me if I needed anything. After saying “No, thank you”, she proceeded to watch me (by standing in the same aisle as me and pretending to look at products) while I searched for the products I was looking for. I understand wanting to protect your business from theft, but why would anyone want to shop somewhere where you’re made extremely uncomfortable. I am a light-skinned mixed race person, I dunno if that was a red-flag to them or something. I grabbed what I was looking for as quickly as possible to get out of there. Not sure if I’d go back after that.
Cashier was friendly though. Prices ok.

First off no starts from me 2nd I had no issue when I walked in, they greeted me and smiled which was nice. So I went about my shopping, sometimes I forget what I come in for so I take my time to make sure I got everything. A couple mins in Im looking around at the hair because I attempted to get some and I noticed they didn’t have any that I usually get or like. I’m on my phone texting and a woman comes around the corner and asked if I need help. She was nice and I assumed she was doing her job of greetings, so I didn’t think too much about it. Told her I’m okay and went back to finishing my text then to figuring out what else I needed. About 2 mins later she comes back and asked me if I needed help again. That’s when I thought “hmm, this is weird because she just asked me if I needed help.” I reassured her I’m still looking and she went into the next isle. I saw her peek 2-3 times in the next 2 mins. So then I knew they thought I was stealing. I feel offended because idk what gave that impression, I can only assume my skin tone by the way that they didn’t keep their eyes on anyone but me. I moved to another isle because I’m still trying to shop and then I feel another set of eyes on me so I look another lady came out and was watching me. Not looking watching. Now I’m even more uncomfortable, so I forget most of what I wanted to get and just stuck to what I needed. The Second Lady that was watching me asked if I was okay I said I was fine and moved to the other isle to get something else I was looking for . She moved to that isle and still watched me then and asked me once more if I needed help. I’m annoyed at this point so I go to the register and check out. All of this happened within 10 mins. I’m gonna take it personally because I’m a black woman and being watched while I’m trying to mind my business is exhausting. Especially when I’m fully exposed and greeting people with a smile You guys need to work on knowing when someone is actually suspicious vs judging by stereotypes and maybe your store would so well.

I am commenting on Galaxy Beauty Supply between 48th & 49th St & Bergenline Avenue.
A couple of years ago, they gave me a card with credit from a wig I had returned , because they gave me the wrong color wig, and they didn’t have the color I wanted. I went in a couple of weeks later and explained to the Asian woman at the cash register that I had lost the credit, which was $59. I know they have a box with the same info as the credit. They told me they couldn’t find it. All of a sudden, they can’t find a credit that I lost??? They are full of it. I had returned several days later to speak to someone else, and the one lady looked at the other and told me they couldn’t find the credit. So basically, these people, who knew who I was because I would always shop there, stole my money. THEY STOLE $59 DOLLARS FROM ME!
THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!
SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING MY HARD EARNED CASH!!!!!! THAT IS HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!! I used to send people there, but not anymore.

I had the worse experience here ever . The lady at the cash Register was so nice but I had my son with me at first I was looking at the makeup then I proceeded to play with my son since he was getting bored of just sitting on his stroller and then I turn around and two of the ladies that work there were staring at me . As if they were racially profiling me and they were just look at me the whole time as I'd they expected me to steal or something. ( I'm Puerto rican but dark skinned so you do the math I look like I'm mixed with African American blood ) I've been told I look black / African American so you do the math . I felt very uncomfortable while this older white lady was looking at products and no one was even watching what she was doing . She was shopping freely . I would of understood if it were maybe one of the workers there looking at me but two ? Very unprofessional on their behalf if I'm being quite honest with you . Then I went to look at the glasses and I over heard one of the girls say in spanish " where did that one lady go "? And I asked the worker why is she asking where I was at for? I'm right here .. then she proceeded to ask me if the white lady who came in with me was my mother ? Why racially profile me and then ask me a personal question for ? If you don't want to deal with racism and be racially profiled by those two idiots please don't come here . They'll make sure to make u feel as uncomfortable as possible.
