“I’ve been going to MaryBeth for years. Originally her salon was but a 3 min walk from my office in downtown NYC. When I saw my first haircut from her it was love at first sight. Once I moved to NJ I was delighted to find out she was also keeping Salon hours in NJ. It should be noted that I drive an hour to see her and an hour back - THAT’s how good her cuts are. She’s always appropriately encouraging and pushing the boundaries of what a comfortable hair style is for me and never lets me get too attached to one style for too long. It’s actually the push and creativity I need. Marybeth is great and ALWAYS shows up with a positive attitude and vibe. It makes my 2-hour r/t drive well worth the journey.“

I came to Kiersten to literally “fix” a heavy weighted terrible hair cut and add some color back in the form of a face frame — She is incredibly honest, understands hair and listens to your goals. She transformed my hair. For some context, I’m a south Asian woman with very thick hair and I have incredibly high standards for who I allow to work with my mane. I’m incredible busy and need low maintenance high styling in one go! After being so let down by Monmouth county salons, I was so relieved to find someone who was honest about color theory and maintaining the integrity of my hair. The salon has an incredible vibe and cares for the clients with fun loving energy. I’ve also come to Sarah for blowouts — she’s incredible and knows how to build volume!
