Many instructors are noted for being kind, helpful, and energetic, while a few receive criticism for being condescending or having an uninviting vibe. The studio's mega reformer classes and strong instructors make it a great choice for those looking for a challenging and effective workout.
I've been taking classes with different instructors and I have to say that Farah's class is my least favorite. I am fairly new to SLT so I appreciate feedback and correction but Farah was so condescending. Her tone and volume made it seem like she was annoyed and frustrated, so much so, that I wanted to leave mid-class. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I dont think that justifies making others, who are going out of their comfort zone, feel bad about learning something new. Allyson also gave an uninviting vibe. I will give their classes another try, but I just really hated the initial experience. On a positive note, Megan, Lucy, Jenn B., and Kelly are absolutely amazing. They are so friendly, energetic, inviting and respected the fact that everyone is on their own fitness journey, yet they still managed to kick my a*** I just wish they taught more classes!!
Get ready to sweat (I accidentally had written the word "swear" and was going to remove it but realized that's probably a reality too!) shake and burn- don't go if you're tired / dehydrated/ hung over / hungry etc - you really need to be in top shape to try this workout Especially If it's your first time GO EARLY! The owner did a nice job of showing me the machine and explaining aaaalllllll the parts pieces and accessories... I teach on a traditional reformer and this was an ENTIRELY different ball game !! The coach was very good at constantly coming up to me and correcting form and pointing out when I wasn't listening/ understanding cues correctly- even your BRAIN needs to be turned on and ready to listen cause it's ALOT ! Hope they come to DC one day !
This review is not about the trainers. All the trainers are great I would give them 5 stars. But to make a reservation for the class is impossible especially for the weekend. Why selling memberships if it's not enough classes ? All weekend classes blocked like 2 weeks in advance. Also the space is always dirty and dusty. Honestly disgusting to walk even in socks
