My daughter started piano lessons with Ia about six months ago when she was four years old. Ia is absolutely wonderful. She is very patient and perceptive—she can read my daughter very well and keeps her challenged, encouraged, and engaged through every lesson. Not an easy feat with a preschooler!Ia is very methodical and intentional with her pedagogy. She doesn’t just work through a primer. Each piece and skill set is part of a broader approach to teaching and she regularly incorporates music theory and ear training. I wish I had been taught in this way!
