I started going to Royal Barbershop after my sons (3) have been getting their haircut done here and for the most part I have been very satisfied with the service and as a result usually leave at least a 33% tip. The last haircut was last week, I did not have cash for the tip to give the person who cut my hair (Oniel) he did mention that I can give it to him the next time but I told him I will be back, went out, got cash and came back and tip him the usual 33%. After I got home and showered, I noticed the sides were a little long, puffy. I did not have time to reach out, so I called a few days later Wednesday and told them. I wanted to go in on Saturday, but they told me they did not have anything and to come in on Friday just to fix the sides, just to fix the sides which is not much, all that was needed was to buzz the sides a little. After I went in, he started on the sides, but I noticed that he was doing a little more than I had asked, I apologized telling him that I did not want to put him out for this. Anyways after he was done and I was about to leave, he walked up to the register and said it will be $40 for a FULL HAIRCUT, $40! IN LESS THAN A WEEK. And he smugly said yes, it's a full haircut. I did not ask for a full haircut. If I had known and THEY SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE FOR A FULL HAIRCUT, I would have declined, because that is ridiculous! I was very disappointed. I hate it and you should as well hate when people no matter who they are and when they try to pull one over on you, try to take advantage of you and that is how I felt. So, I will not be going there again, you lost a customer, and not a bad tipper either for doing that. Not sure it was worth it. I will mention it to my sons and if they want to continue getting their haircut there, that's fine but I will not.

First off Abood is the man! Really nice guy and I love the fade haircut he did for me!! The shop itself is awesome and everyone is very nice and welcoming. I have no hesitation paying whatever they ask because it’s clean and they go above and beyond each time!! So blessed to have this shop in Raritan.

I’m a travel radiology technologist from FL and believe me when I say finding a barber out of your hometown is not an easy thing. Royal Barber is the spot! Shoutout to Oniel for giving me an excellent fresh cut and as well as Marwan for the experience of having great dialogue and conversation that makes a barbershop what it is….a home away from home. I’ll be coming back! I hope this helps anyone that’s looking for a great hair cut to pick this location and business.

I asked her what I wanted and showed a picture and it was all seem like it was good even though it took an hour and a half. Until I actually looked at my hair and oh my gosh it was complete and utter opposite of what I asked for I do not recommend Jose for a barber.

Took our grandson for a quick haircut on a Saturday, not much wait time and I believe Julie cut his hair she did an amazing job! Great barber shop for boys...and men!

I want to give a shout out to Oniel for the kind service provided to my son! Although haircuts aren’t my 8 year olds favorite thing, Oniel made my son feel comfortable and by the end of the cut he was smiling and happy! 100% recommend!!! Go check him out!
