Had our baby here and the staff here was informative, professional, compassionate and caring through all the complications, the NICU visits, the coaching before and after and ensuring my wife and baby both made it home healthy and I'm the best condition possible.

I spent 2 hours screaming in pain in the er and that was just the beginning. I was sent here because I needed an MRI but was in too much pain to stay still for one. When I finally got to the er that gave me torodol which was fine but it didn't address the nerve pain. They decided on Dilaudid but I MUST have amply anti nausea meds before injecting it. They gave me 1/2 a dose of Dilaudid and zofran once, the second time they forgot the zofran SI when they came to get me for the MRI I was picking all over the floor. It also did nothing for the pain. I was up all night walking as I couldn't sit or lay down. I asked for a doctor so I could up my meds but none came. I asked twice. So I screamed in pain until someone decided to give me valium which knocked me out. Next morning still in pain. Finally I see a orthopedic PA who ups my dose of Dilaudid which worked but no one remembered to up the nausea meds so the pain went but I've been throwing up all day. Just asked for my meds again and still not enough zofran so I can't take my meds until a Dr comes. That was an hour ago. I'm not holding out much hope of seeing one. I called the patient experience team - they are closed. Calledain hospital number and spoke to someone to see if I can get a Dr. No word yet. Still waiting for my meds. I have NEVER been treated so badly in a hospital. I'm stuck in a ward full of people. I'm being told to not moan or cry out in pain because people are sleeping. Then don't put me in this room full of people. I'm about to signyself put and go to another hospital. It's awful 00000 stars

Ugh, this place is the worst. Went here for hernia surgery. Post op treatment was garbage. They made me sick by giving me way too much pain medication. Then, while I was throwing up, they forced me out of the recovery room, threw me into a wheelchair, put a bucket in my lap and wheeled my limp body through the entire hospital while I continued to throw up. The entire time I tried to explain to the nurses that I was unable to walk and needed to rest more before moving. My wife was pleading with them. They did not care at all. It was traumatic and highly embarrassing. Do not go here for anything.

My daughter was recently in the ED here, and I want to thank every single team that helped us so much. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful. Every doctor, nurse, and team member took incredible care of her and went above and beyond to make sure she was safe and comfortable. They made a very stressful time so much easier for our family. I am deeply grateful for their outstanding care, compassion, and support. Highly recommend this hospital!

I've been waiting for 6hrs here, in the ER. Never saw the doctor. I watched ppl come after me and leave before me, after being seen, while I still never saw the doctor.
When I asked about seeing my bloodwork results, I got attitude from the older nurse. I wanted to know what I should do about this 6 hr wait. I got a condescending answer. Then another nurse tells me end of shift is in a half hour. So I guess I was left in limbo for who knows how long, because ppl wanted to finish their shift chatting.
Meanwhile, the nurse that did come talk to me, is running around taking patients.
So, at 6:25am, I checked out. I'll try to see my primary doctor.

The quality of service has gone downhill tremendously over the years. What happened? First off, the receptionist was very unprofessional to the patients in the waiting area. One man asked for helped and she got frustrated and she began the use of profanity. Then she put her earbuds in while another handicapped patient wheelchair bound was calling to get attention as she needed assistance. She completely ignored this lady and thought it was funny (where are the cameras)?

I understand and respect that the nursing staff can be overwhelmed, but some of the staff are very rude. CHS no longer make follow up calls to patients after ER care which says a lot about quality assurance. Not sure this review will even reach the appropriate customer service administration to make some changes or not. But it’s quite disturbing that staff are this unprofessional.

I delivered my first child here last year. My husband and I even attended this new parents seminar to answer all of our questions and see the hospital. The day of my scheduled c section was awful. Lucky me it was right after Memorial Day weekend and no one knew anything. I had to take a blood test before the c section but couldn’t get in before hand because ….well i guess no one wanted to work/they were off. I was the only patient in the hospital and it was so early like 4-5 am. Front desk didn’t know where I should go. I went to the labor and delivery desk (worker was literally sleeping when I went to ask him a question). He sent me to out patient when I told him my c section was today. Staff kept asking me why I was told to come so early as they walked by. Thankfully a janitor directed me back to the labor and delivery desk and told the worker to let me in there. It was awful. My c section got pushed back and I’m sure made everything chaotic for the staff in the operating room. This all could have been avoided. Fast forward past delivery I lost an extreme amount of blood. Hemoglobin level was at a 4. I had 2 blood transfusions and 2 iron infusions and I was instructed to come back to the hospital for a 3rd iron infusion (I believe maybe like a day or two after I was home). So, my husband and I put our brand new baby in the car and he waited in the car for me since I was told this was an in and out thing and would be so quick (baby could also not be with me). I waited for so long at least 40 minutes to find out I don’t even think I was checked in properly. I was walked upstairs (so I wasn’t even where I was supposed to be yet again-and staff had no clue). Thankfully I wasn’t breast feeding but being away from my new baby like this was awful for me. Only great thing I’d say is the cleaning staff works so hard they’re amazing. And of course my labor and delivery nurses were amazing. As far as the flow of the hospital and direction it was dreadful. I’ll never forget this.

The main hospital itself is wonderful but the ER is a nightmare. My wife came in for pain, took us 8 hours to be even seen and then left in a hallway with no one around to check on us. I thought hospitals were supposed to take care of and care for people. NEVER coming back here for an ER visit ever again. This has been the worst treatment we have ever experienced in an ER.

Again, the main hospital and the doctors we have seen here are great but whoever manages the ER should be fired for a lack of management and patient care.

The worst experience I’ve had with anesthesia. I have had multiple surgeries in the past. This one was an ln involved eye surgery. I had the other eye done at the NJ Surgical Center that same week. That one was less involved. As I did with the surgery center, I asked that I was made to be unaware of the procedure while it was taking place. They added Versed to it the Propofol. I asked for the same this time. Whatever they gave me didn’t help. Not only was I aware but I could feel pain. I even jumped and cried out. It was the worse surgical experience of my life.
Anesthesia needs to listen to their patients and if in doubt talk to the surgeon. He quickly allowed the two drugs for the surgery at the Surgical Center.
