“This is a top-notch place to tan and to keep your glow during the cold, dark months of winter or whenever the weather is miserable and you need a quick pick-me-up. The facility is immaculately clean and the equipment, especially the P9 tanning bed (a high pressure bed unlike no other, offering UVA, UVB, and a bit of red light) is top of the line. The Edgewater location is conveniently located and easy to get the (even from NYC). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. On my last two visits (both this week, Christmas week 2025), I had the pleasure of having Brianna as my tanning consultant, an extremely friendly, lovely, and intelligent girl who knows everything there is to know about tanning, including how different skin types react to different lotions and how the skin's pH plays a factor and the different types of wavelengths emitted by all the various equipment and a profoundly in-depth knowledge of all the different lotions and the the differences between them, including the minute differences between lotions from the same brand and product line. Above all, she knows the science behind tanning like no one else I've ever spoken to and she took the time and had the patience to explain it to me. She is an asset to Beach Bum Tanning and one of the most wonderful human beings I have ever met in my entire life and she helped make my experience with Beach Bum Tanning that much more marvellous and special. My visits to BBT were among the most positive and wonderful experiences of my entire life and Brianna, to whom I'm indebted for her friendliness, kindness, patience, and knowledge, helped put me in a sunny disposition before I even got into the tanning bed. I very highly recommend this establishment and I will definitely be coming back. “Every one deserves a raise that works at Ramseys La Sunset Tan. I’m a millennial who had no idea how spray tans worked and when I tell you the gen z front of house staff could not have been any kinder or supportive. I’m pale and have freckles and basically my whole
experience there was “don’t worry bestie we’ve got you”. I have loved every spray tan outcome. No question was too dumb or basic from me.

“In terms of booking there is more flexibility when using the machine to tan. If you're looking for airbrush, it is important to call ahead to make an appointment. It was my daughter's first time at this Beach Bum location. Easy check in process, and biometric confirmation! Christine did the airbrushing and my daughter seems confident that it will be great.
