What a fantastic job they did did on my deteriorating retainer wall and front steps. Not only were they prompt and professional, they cleaned up behind themselves THANK YOU! Would definitely recommend them!

My husband and I have wanted to get new sidewalks since we moved into our house 7 years ago. We were finally ready to do it and we called a bunch of places, half responded and we had people out here to look at what we wanted and kept feeling super uneasy about their responses - almost like they had better things to do. We fell into a recommendation for Alpaugh construction through someone else that came and wasn’t able to do what we wanted to do. Andy showed up promptly as soon and he was able and listened to what we wanted to do and went into his truck and got his tape measure and started mapping everything out immediately. He did not make us feel that our job was too small or insignificant and really listened to what we wanted (more things than just basic sidewalks). That night after meeting him me and my husband decided to go with him off the bat - based solely on his integrity and persona. He gave us a real time line of when we could be fit in and when the job would be done. He checked in without us asking to update us on timeline and to assure us that we were in his calendar. The job was started exactly when he said it would be and he was so attentive to the plants I wanted saved and not disturbed and went about his business. We hit a road block when he uncovered an old cistern that was under the ground of our 138 year old house that we had forgotten was there - he explained different ways to take care of this while redirecting the sidewalk to make sure it did not go over this hole and would be completely structurally sound. He took the care to place the excavator head over the hole so no children or animals would fall in and left to figure it out so that we, as home owners, did not have to worry about it. After some time he came back that night and assured me that he had a septic tank cover that would fit right on top and he would have his men seal it so that no further problems would occur. He put the excavator head back over it and returned to do just as he said. He brought the cover from his own supply and it was sealed up and the rest of the job was done. Throughout his entire job he was very professional and hardworking with his team. There was a point that he came back to check on our concrete after it was poured on a drizzly day to make sure it was okay and our family came out and watched him and his dad work on it and the entire time he was so personable and explained everything to my 10 year old daughter who had lots of questions about his work and how this whole process was done. In the end, he even got down and trimmed my bush that was hanging over the new walkways to make sure everything was neat and clean. He even sprinkled grass seed in other places where we had put dirt to cover holes that my dog had dug. Andy went above and beyond for this job at our home that we cherish so much and we will absolutely be calling him for further jobs. If you want a professional, hardworking honest company I recommend Alpaugh construction 100% for anything that you need done for your family’s home. Thank you to them for making our summer that much more enjoyable. 5 stars.
