I’ve been going to Marie for a few years to get the same style. Occasionally something different (they never do it correctly other than knotless) and the last few times I visited I was met with different prices. I’d call- make an appt and ask for the prices over the phone. That is never the case when I get there . She picks and chooses when she wants to charge you more. And when you mention what you’ve discussed it’s like she gets upset that you aren’t paying more! Very odd. Unfortunately I have to look for another braider because rudeness and deception seems to be an ongoing theme. You’re better off going to orange/newark and getting any style any length for $200. Good luck to future clients.

Honestly if I could give it a 0, I would. The service was HORRIBLE! I’m paying YOU to braid MY hair, AND YOU GOT AN ATTITUDE??!!!! Now don’t get me wrong my braids were cute, but I can get treated better at so many other braiding shops. They also tried to charge me $650 for some braids and this didn’t even include hair. Again, so many other braiding shops for cheaper, provide hair, and treat their customers well. Don’t go here.

If Mary had done my hair, it would have probably looked much better. Imagine getting your hair done and not one black person complimented you on how good it looked. It was ok but not good.

This was my second time coming back and I just needed the front done since the back still looked good! I paid $100 for the whole style but she tried to charge me $70 for just the front! Didn’t wanna do no design or anything! I went somewhere else cuz that is ridiculous! Which is why the shop barely gets business! She also stated she wasn’t taking any more customers at 1pm and the shop don’t close until 7pm! Never again!!

Found this little gem online. Very efficient and clean. Good people will be back. Got medium sized box braids mid length. Hair comes almost to my lower back. Worth every penny. Will be back

Upon my punctual arrival at 10 am, the owner Marie confirmed that the price for my box braid style was $180.00 at waist length. Upon completion of my style , I was happy with the results and paid her accordingly. She then stated “You know that that’s not the correct price for that style , but I will get you next time. Next time it will be $240, not $180.” I was blown away at the harsh comment upon my next hair appointment before even exiting the shop. There won’t be a next time as that comment was very rude and unprofessional.
As stated , I confirmed the cost of the style as discussed on the phone prior to my arrival. One less customer with unsatisfactory customer experience. Do not support.
