All staff were kind, helpful and professional. Dr Lee and Anna were both excellent and seemed to work well in tandem. It's clear both are highly skilled and have done a lot of quality reps by how they work. I had oral surgery and I felt nothing at all during the procedure. Dr Lee always asked how I was doing and if I was ok. She worked efficiently and with intent and I can tell she was focused and had great workflow. She was clear about what the issues were and how to work through them properly. Darwin helped with the payment strategy and he was excellent. Everything was low friction and easy. I hold professionals to high standards and everyone here was kind and operated pro. I am very happy I found them and I would recommend them if your looking.

The best experience ever, never thought I can smile with confidence again. Geovanna was so helpful, and work hard to get my smile to where it is now. Definitely recommend this place and every dentist in the world should have someone as helpful and as understanding as Geovanna.

Took excellent care of me while needing an implant. I had never been through this procedure before and they made it as painless as possible. Excellent staff. Excellent service!

Terrible experience. I was there nearly 3 hours with almost no communication. Everything was rushed and disorganized.

After paying $607 for fillings, I left with a hole in my tooth that was not there before. When I went back, they initially told me it was “fine” and tried to dismiss it.

Dr. Lee was rushed, barely explained anything, and left the room before I could even ask questions.

Worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I would NEVER recommend.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST- I called the office and explained I was in pain and needed to see a dentist. I was given an appointment for 10 AM the next day. Upon arrival, there was no one in the waiting room. I was brought into a room for cleaning. After waiting 2 hours while the ill-equipped staff, including the doctor, tried to placate a patient reportedly with “mental health issues,” Dr. Lee finally arrives. Right away Dr.Lee started discussing her cosmetic recommendations. When I politely interrupted her to explain I was there because I was in pain, she immediately cut me off. She assumed I could not afford her cosmetic recommendations and started explaining payment options. I was deeply insulted. I told her I was there specifically for pain. She walked out and the office manager came in with a bill. I made it clear, AGAIN, I was in pain and wanted to know if they were going to help me. I waited an additional 30 minutes, then got up to leave! The hygienist and office manager were very apologetic, however, Dr. Lee was no where in sight. She had written a prescription for antibiotics and provided a referral to a dentist at a different practice because “she couldn’t help me.” Dr. Lee didn’t even have the decency to tell me herself. The office manager told me. After 2.5 hours, I walked out the same as I walked in!

I went to Brilliant Smile in North Plainfield for a routine cleaning and left feeling judged, dismissed, and unsafe as a patient. During the cleaning, I experienced discomfort in my back teeth and mentioned it to the hygienist. She offered to stop the cleaning and bring in the doctor, which I agreed to. The doctor confirmed that I have cavities, which I already knew, and I explained that I cannot afford a root canal at this time.

After the doctor left, the front desk staff member came into the room to discuss insurance and payment. I acknowledged that insurance would not cover the procedure. Instead of keeping the conversation professional, she asked, “How did it get that bad?” When I explained that I have severe dental anxiety and that life circumstances happen, she responded by saying I should have “put that to the side and just gotten it done,” as if anxiety is something that can simply be ignored. This comment was incredibly insensitive and inappropriate.

I then asked if there was anything they could give me for pain relief. I was told that it “wouldn’t do anything at all.” Shortly after, the hygienist was sent back into the room with Tylenol. I am allergic to Tylenol, and thankfully I asked what it was before taking it. This was a serious safety concern that should never happen in a dental office.

Between the judgmental behavior, lack of compassion, professionalism, dismissive communication, and failure to ensure patient safety, I no longer felt comfortable continuing care and chose to walk out. Patients deserve empathy, professionalism, and respect. I will not be returning and do not recommend this office.

Everything felt rushed. The dentist was between patients, going room to room doing a little here and a little there. I had a broken, infected tooth and was in a lot of pain. They pulled the tooth and I got a bone graft. That went smooth enough but I won't be going back there. I was in pain and they were close and opened earlier than the other practices around. Just got this work done on 12/26/2025. Once it heals, I'm going somewhere else moving forward. I'd recommend going somewhere else.

I’m not one to write a review much less a negative one however that said I’d would like to share my experiences. On Tuesday 19th I had several procedures done over a three hour period with Dr Patel working on other patients at the same time. My next appointment was for November 25. Upon arriving there I was told at the front desk oh the Dr called out. (Ok emergency do happen a phone call would’ve been nice ) Now the following Tuesday the second I get lead into a room have my mouth prep only to be told there was an issue my crown hadn’t arrived . I was told there was a ceiling leak at the place that was making the crown. ( meanwhile that crown was supposed. To be done last week so that leak shouldn’t have affected my crown) please accept our apologies can you come Friday at 10AM..On Thursday I was asked that Dr Lee thought it would be best if Dr Patel did the crown since he did the original work. My appointment was in Elizabeth not North Plainfield . My appointment was for 12:15 apparently there was an emergency and I’m being told at 12:30 it would be a half hour more. On Thursday I get a reminder that I have an appointment in North Plainfield on Friday.. when the appointment was already cancelled.

This was my first visit to this dentist office, and my overall experience was positive. After getting a tooth extracted, I was advised to call them if I had any questions or concerns. I called and spoke to the receptionist, Patricia, who was very helpful. However, when I was put on hold to speak with Dr. Lee, I immediately sensed that she wasn’t in a particularly pleasant mood.

I mentioned the pain I was experiencing, and she recommended taking antibiotics. However, when I explained that I’m a nursing mom, she suggested that I give my baby regular milk for the week. I was taken back by this suggestion. I thought I would be able to find a different option for my baby’s milk, rather than resorting to cow’s milk for a week(which is not an option at all).

I then asked her if she could prescribe a medication that was safe for breastfeeding moms. She refused, stating that my tooth was more important than my baby’s well-being. I was shocked and couldn’t believe what she was saying. I stated I no longer wanted to speak with her because she was coming off nasty, she tells me it’s because I was on the phone asking her questions for 10 minutes??? Ummm, I’m a new patient with concerns about my extracted tooth, I thought it was normal to have a few questions. Even if I was being long-winded, that’s not the way you should speak to customers.

The first interaction of my most recent visit at Brilliant Smiles in North Plainfield, NJ, was with
the office manager Amalia. Amalia was professional, showed a genuine concern, and was very attentive to my needs. Next was with Pamela at the receptionist desk who was a polite, warm and caring host while I was sitting in the waiting room. Reina, the dental hygienist gave me a thorough, gentle cleaning. Reina was wonderful, there is no other way to say it. The assistants, Ana and Raque took pride in their duties, made sure that I was always comfortable, and were absolutely fantastic. Lastly, the final steps to the success of my procedure was in the skilled hands, knowledge, and expertise of Dr Sharon Lee. Dr Lee made sure that I left the office with a brand new Brilliant Smile that I would be proud of! Thank you everyone!
