Marty Anderson and Associates - Stair Repair
“Marty is THE stair person in the greater new york city area. Unmatched quality. Highly recommend for stair repair/rebuilds, especially if you have a historic home (as many reviewers do). Other GC's might tell you they can do stairs, they might give you a cheaper quote, but they can't do what Marty & team do.
Marty and team replaced the risers and treads for 2 flights in our brownstone shortly after we bought it. We originally had him consult and replace a few problematic stairs (lots of bowing/movement when we walked up) and we soon learned that both flights needed to be fully redone thanks to some shotty stair work 30-40 years prior. Henry and Israel on his team are true stair craftsman. Marty was upfront about the process, the timing requirements and expectations. It's a significant investment but my husband and I see and feel it every day when we walk up and down our sturdy stairs without a creak.”
