I walked in feeling Bland and walked out feeling like a Celebrity, my stylist name was keer,, and she made me feel wonderful,, confident, and beautiful 😍
The salon is also clean and welcoming 🙏🏾.
My stylist, Sha Mula, really deserves her flowers. She’s one of the best in Newark, hands down. From the moment you step into her shop, you feel the early 90s vibe—warm, nostalgic, and welcoming. She specializes in braids and locs, and her work always comes out clean, neat, and professional. A re-twist or braid-up is only $60–$70, which is way lower than what most locticians and braiders are charging these days.
What makes it even more special is that people in the hair industry go through extreme stress and often don’t get paid what they truly deserve. Stylists put in long hours on their feet, deal with tough schedules, and sometimes don’t get the recognition...read full review
Every time I go to my stylist, Sha Mula, I know I’m in good hands. She’s one of Newark’s best, no question. Her place has this cool early 90s vibe that makes you feel like you stepped into a throwback. She focuses on braids and locs, charging only $60–$70 for a re-twist or braid up, while most locticians and braiders ask for way more. People don’t realize how stressful the hair industry can be, with long hours and not enough pay. And even though she doesn’t get as many clients as she deserves, Sha Mula still shows up, stays dedicated, and is always nice to every single client who sits in her chair.
