Staff is always kind, patient, and makes our child feel completely at ease during the exam. Everything was explained clearly, and the care was exceptional from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Dr. Chen is very kind and knowledgeable but her office staff is pretty much incompetent and going to appointments is chaotic. Dr. Chen is worth it, but between the nightmare parking at 95 Madison and the disorganized office staff, I dread taking my son to appointments here.
Dr. Chen is knowledgeable and professional, but I have found that her bedside manner with young children could be improved. During multiple visits with my 3-year-old, she has come across as dismissive.
For example, if my son tries to get my attention while she is speaking with me, she will firmly tell him, “You need to let me talk to mom.” While I understand the importance of focusing on the medical discussion, I don’t feel this approach takes into account the developmental stage of a toddler, who is naturally emotionally impulsive. As the parent, I am already addressing his behavior, so I would prefer that she allow me to manage those interactions.
