We adopted our 4-year-old yellow Lab from the Gloucester County shelter, and after a couple of weeks we realized she wasn’t properly socialized and was extremely fear-aggressive toward men. She would growl, show her teeth, and lunge, and as first-time dog owners, we were honestly terrified she would bite someone. We were even considering returning her to the shelter because we didn’t know how to help her.

Working with Carlos completely changed everything. He taught us that obedience creates confidence and gave us the tools to help our dog feel safe instead of afraid. What started as weekly two-hour sessions has become occasional maintenance visits because she’s made so much progress.

Now we can have people over without constantly worrying, and our dog has routines that help her stay calm and successful around strangers. Carlos has also gone above and beyond by checking in on us and even FaceTiming us during snowstorms so we wouldn’t miss training.
