Love this salon! So welcoming with zero fuss or pretentiousness. Skilled stylists who just want you to feel & look your best! I had Alexis recently and she was wonderful! She asked great questions to understand exactly what I wanted then guided me through her process as she cut. She also gave an AMAZING shampoo/conditioner. Beyond relaxing! And aveda is such a great brand, especially if you have very sensitive skin. Their products smell so go and work wonderfully for all hair types & needs. Would highly recommend this salon. Oh & parking is super easy which is a HUGE plus in the area!
I called up the salon desperate for a haircut at the last minute, and they were able to fit me in with junior haircutter Alexis. (I mean I was about to go in my back yard and just chop it off myself so I figured anybody would be better than that.) I am so so happy with the haircut I got! I really lucked out. I have to commend Alexis for being so attentive, listening carefully and asking questions, giving me a fabulous hair wash, and cutting and styling my hair perfectly. I have very curly hair and not everybody knows how to cut curly. Even when I get a good cut, usually I have to go home and wash my hair again and style it myself after I get a haircut before I start to like it, but this was perfect from the start! I've been going to Pure Energy since they were in Nutley and then on Bloomfield Ave in Montclair, but during the Covid shutdown I got disconnected from the salon experience. As others have mentioned the salon is gorgeous. They also have their own parking now, which is a nice step up. Highly recommend. But it's probably better to make an appointment.
