Merchantville Antiques Lighting Repair is a gem of a mom and pop shop for lighting repair—from rewiring antique lamps to refurbishing chandeliers and modern fixtures. Custom lighting work is done onsite. They also offer replacement shades, fabric and glass, and DIY parts. Antique and vintage lighting is available for sale. Customers note they are the only ones in the area willing to look at certain lamps, and they are clearly passionate about what they do. Patience is required, as it is a one-man show, but the wait is worth it. Customers can also call or email for special arrangements regarding lamp repair or purchase pickups outside of business hours.
The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They seem to make every decision an easy one…. Always giving options that are sensible and honest!
A rare treasure — to find a business staffed with kind, talented people who are honest !
We needed to get a family heirloom lamp repaired and couldn't find a store to fix it, until we found Merchantville Antiques & Lighting Repair. Michael repaired our antique lamp wiring (not an easy task) and any previous repairs that were not done well.
Michael is clearly passionate about lamp repair and knows what he's doing. Patience is required, as he is a one-man show and has a lot of lamps to repair. But it's worth the wait. I would definitely bring another lamp to their shop for repairs ... in a heartbeat.
A gem of a mom and pop shop. I was able to get my mother’s halogen lamp serviced. They were the only ones in the area even willing to look at it. Really kind and enthusiastic about what they do.
