“Dr. Margolis is hands down the best doctor I've ever come across. I was sent to Dr. Margolis when we realized I had a retinal detachment in my mid 20s so this was 2011-2014 range. The initial assessment was very uncomfortable and was being performed by a young female doctor who I believe was doing some sort of rotation? She wasn't one of the permanent doctors. She kept becoming frustrated with me and was making the process even more unbearable (I had been there for hours). Dr. Margolis came in and did an assessment no problem - he was very caring, warm, and compassionate from the start. He understood the discomfort. I remember being scared the young female doctor was going to perform my surgery, and I actually heard her throw a bit of a fit in the hall when Dr. Margolis told her he would be performing my surgery. I am so so so grateful for that. Over a decade later, my scleral buckle is still in excellent shape. I have never met another doctor with such incredible bedside manner. I now live in another state, but my new retinal specialist says Dr. Margolis did an excellent job.“
