Thank you, Stephens Landscaping, for completely blowing off a June 13 appointment at 10am to come to our Long Branch home and provide a quote to install a paver path. Not only did my husband have to leave another appointment early to meet you, but you did not show up--and then had the nerve to not ever call us, either to apologize for missing the appointment or to reschedule. You do know there are many other companies out there who will gladly take this job, right?

Stephen's installed all the landscpaing and pavers around my pool at my home in Little Silver and he and his crew did an excellent job at a fair price. Today was the first time I had read any of this information about the generator price gouging and to me, this is an example of "no good deed goes unpunished". I would have happily paid $1,400 for a generator and five gallons of gas in the days after Sandy to heat my home. Was the price higher than I could buy one for today or even a few weeks after Sandy...sure. But THERE WERE NONE TO BUY and I waited 3 hours for gas. If he had charged 3x or 4x the cost then I would feel differently but come on people, an... read full review

I heard the same, and have the texts sent by both his daughter and his wife "Advertising" for generators they grossly over charged what they paid for it (one says, direct quote: "Sandy made me bucks, what'd it make you?"). And then "Steve is selling full 5 gal gas cans for $50 with gas can tomorrow at 7". This during a terrible time for us on the Jersey shore when people were really hurting. This would be bad enough if they did this to people they didn't know, but this was to friends. His wife runs the Salad Shack in Long Branch, another place not to take your business. Shameful. Wrong.
