I took the test twice, and thanks to Sujeta’s guidance, I was able to improve my driving skills after my first attempt and successfully apply those improvements during my second test. Although I recommend additional practice with or without the driving school prior the test to hone your knowledge.“

“This is the best school ever !!! I went to a different school and I lost 5,000 dollars because they didn’t trained me properly. Long story short I ended up going to Smith and Solomon and I didn’t regret not one thing! I have my CDL thanks to God and the instructor’s ?? they are amazing starting from Carolyn in the office, she’s such a sweetheart she is for the students. Anything you need she will help you with no problem. And we have Nick he’s the supervisor and he’s also an amazing instructor ?? Nick is the most patient person ever and he cares for all of his students. Don at the yard will teach you everything you need to know step by steps to obtain your drivers licenses don you are my favorite ☺️ we also have another Don , Mr. Don but he’s teaching you how to shift gears and be the best at it on the road!!! “I called them up to schedule a 30-minute practice/refresher session with them right before my road test. Scheduling was an easy and accommodating process.

I was assigned Melissa as my instructor. Before the session with Melissa, I was worried that I needed more practice time because my parallel parking skills were a little suspect. Plus, my K-turn sometimes involved using 5 points instead of 3 points consistently. However, after getting instructions from Melissa for a few minutes, I nailed both the parallel parking and K-turns in the practice session easily. Melissa has a technique for both parallel parking and K-turns that makes it very easy to master. In fact, I actually think it might be harder to fail the parallel parking and K-turns if you follow her technique. Her technique makes it a lot easier to excel. This gave me much-needed confidence going into the road test.

Melissa also gave me a few pointers about other aspects of the road test that made everything easier and ace the road test. Melissa's instructions were very easy to understand and apply when taking the road test and driving in general.

The 30 minutes refresher session was more than enough time to prepare me for the road test. I am very grateful and lucky to have chosen this service when preparing for my road test.“

“I had a wonderful experience with this driving school. My classes were very informative helping me to learn the rule of the road and gain confidence behind the wheel. I especially enjoyed just how much the importance of safety while driving was installed. I would also like to give a special shout out to my wonderful and supportive instructor Tye whom made me feel safe and confident while driving. My favorite thing he always said was to never let other drivers push me wich I feel is a very important lesson for new drivers especially those who experience some anxiety while behind the wheel. “I took lessons with Island Driving school and took Bob’s 5 hour class 7 years ago. I had the majority of my lessons with Laura (idk if she’s still with you now but she was such a patient and kind teacher). They really work with you to succeed on being an excellent driver. I passed my road test on my first try back in 2019 thanks to the teaching methods used by this driving school. Bob’s 5 hour class is the best and I still apply the things I learned from him to this day. I was rushing to get my license before I moved out of state for graduate school…to a place where public transit was scarce and driving was a necessity. I moved back to the island recently and I’m still able to drive well here thanks to what I learned at Island Driving School. I have not in all this time received any kind of ticket and I drive very safely and also with confidence. This place gave me that as a young person who was very unsure about driving at the time.
