I used to like Modern but the price keeps rising and the quality/service is sadly going down. Not sure if they sanitize the foot spas after each pedicure and my toe polish all chipped after two days with dead skin left on my feet. My gel manicure was okay, subpar at best
I've gone to several places around Hoboken to get my nails done and I've become a regular at Modern Nails, mainly because of their flexibility and consistency. I get pretty basic gel nails and they've always done a good job. The manicurists are nice and diligent. They have good hours and aren't as strict about changing appointments as other places. They also don't require a card on file, which I appreciate. I think it's crazy how many places around here require a card to book. The price is also decent, especially if you pay with cash.
Finally found the place with minimum words and maximum performance. Jocelyn did a great job Gelling the nails. I just walked in and 45 minutes later I was ready to leave. 7% discount also for cash payment and the ATM machine in the salon were good idea!
