Wasn’t crazy about the gel manicure process starting right away taking my old gel off. Ground most of it off with a few minutes of being wrapped with remover that did no good. Clearly the grinding weakened my normally very strong nails as 3 broke within days, and the gel peeled off 2 nails; one of which had a bump of polish that actually leaked out the next day. It was convenient but I got what I paid for. Back to my regular place that’s a little less convenient and $7 more. Staff was nice but just wouldn’t return.
I am writing regarding 144 Market place. I love my manicurist Simon. He is great. The few others I’ve had in the past were also good. No problem with manicurists. What I do have a problem with is the owner. She talks on her phone pretty much the entire time she’s doing a clients nails - very rude. What’s worse is she yells at her workers loudly. Mind you I’m not sure what she is saying because I don’t understand the language. However, I’m pretty sure it’s not pleasant. I was there one time and she was carrying on screaming at them the whole time I was there a there were clients in the store. Evelyn did a fantastic job with my nails! They were a mess from a prior salon when I had gel removed and they didn’t take it off fully. She did a great job and made my nails beautiful. I will be back to see her in three weeks.
