I brought my beloved dog Vanna to be put to sleep on June 7th to Meadowlands Veterinary Hospital . Vanna was 17 years old and was completely blind. Her blindness didn't stop her from being physically active and she was always on the move. Unfortunately there were other issues which made it impossible for Vanna to continue being active. Vanna was seen by Dr Meza. She was so patient with me and gave me all the time I needed to hold Vanna and cry and just say goodbye to my little beautiful baby. I didn't feel pressured at all. Dr Meza explained the entire procedure to me and told me when I was ready to let Vanna go to let her know. I was holding Vanna when she passed. I wept so much but I truly felt it was the best thing I could do for my sweet girl. I would definitely recommend Dr Meza or Dr Marteney. The staff has always been exceptionally friendly and welcoming to me and my dog when we've been there. I arrived at my appointment today wearing a mask and when the vet techs went to prepare the room and saw me they went into the back and put on surgical masks without me asking or bringing it up. It is such a small gesture but makes a world of difference to me in feeling like my pet and I are being cared for and protected.
Dr. Desai was so kind and helpful with our pet health certificate and our pet travels. This was our first time visiting this practice and we couldn't have asked for a better experience than with Dr. Desai. Priscilla, the technician, was very sweet to our anxious dog. All staff were warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable.
