“My tat artist was Jose! I came in after work at 6pm for a walk in because I saw they had a special for 2 fine line tats for $100. I ended up getting larger tattoos and Jose was super accommodating and helpful. He did such a great job with what I requested and I am definitely going back to him to get more tattoos in the future! This place is overall a 10/10 and I recommend it for any type of tattoo you want to get!“

“I had my helix pierced by Zoey he was very respectful, and nice. I first came to his shop for an industrial but when he saw my ears he made sure to mention that my ears weren’t shaped for an industrial and gave me other piercing options. That’s very good to know when getting anything pierced, The place is very nice to look at there’s a lot of cool drawings inside the place and there was music playing I really like the vibe. The pain was not bad at all. The price was not bad it was 70$ to get a helix on both ears. The price he was going to charge me when I asked for industrial on my right was 50$ which was pretty cheap in my opinion. I’m thankful I came here I left happy and pierced!“

“I’ve been either recommending people to this shop or coming here myself since 2007, so the fact that I’m still supporting them all these years later says a lot. Since 2024, I’ve personally gotten three pieces done here, and I’ve had consistently positive experiences.
My most recent visit was especially great. Bana at the front desk was warm, helpful, and made the whole process feel easy from the moment I came in. My tattoo artist, Will, was amazing. He really listened to what I wanted, helped everything flow with the tattoos I already had, and paid attention to the little details that made the final piece feel cohesive instead of just looking like random additions.
I love how my newest work came together the linework is clean, the shading is beautiful, and the placement makes the whole space-themed section of my arm feel intentional and fun. Will was patient, professional, easy to talk to, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process.“

“I got my helix done here last summer. I remember him being professional and quick. I think it was 15-20 dollars, super worth it! I’ve gotten a bump a couple times but it is because of my hair getting stuck so don’t be afraid if you get one. Other than that it’s healed perfectly and im going back in a couple weeks for another piercing“

“I cannot recommend Studio 28 enough. I had done multiple ear piercings while abroad and had been delaying getting them downsized/replaced for a couple of months (holidays, work, end of year, you name it). I had been looking at studios here in America. I asked coworkers about Studio 28 (easily accessible via public transportation for me) and they all had glowing recommendations. Life kept going on until mid January 2026 when I could no longer ignore an irritation flare up. Full of guilt for not coming in sooner and letting the irritation go on for so long, I was petrified but went to Studio 28 as a walk in.

Thankfully they were able to see me and listened to my story. Emily helped me pick out new piercings based on my style preferences. I appreciated they had a great selection based on budget. She was honest and assessed my ear and let me know if my choices made sense. Thank you, Emily, I get compliments for how beautiful my ears look. I never heard of Modern Mood and now the biggest fan.

I don't have enough words to say about George. He listened, sympathized, conferred with Emily and giving her a high five over the earrings selected. Not once did they chastise me or admonish me, but embraced me and disarmed my guilt. He took the time to remove and replace each of my piercings, changing the gauge and choosing the right post sizes. He explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. I had no idea what to expect when I was walking in, but apparently with my luck, simply the best.

He gave me after instructions for after piercing care. His compassion and infectious smile had me leaving the studio with confidence that I did not ruin my piercing journey. I returned in March 2026 to get the still healing piercings downsized. He remembered all my piercing stories and the symbolism behind them. It made me feel valued and seen.

Thank you, Emily and George and Studio 28 for all your patience when I was a walk-in wreck. Healing takes time, and now I am scheduling a new piercing.

The bar was too short and the back too small and it went completely through my hole(HAH). “Best first experience for a piercing, Cami pierced my eyebrow and was very patient with me the whole way through. When I contacted Cami through instragram she responded promptly to get me in her schedule to get the piercing taken care of when i got it infected. She kept checking in with me through the past 2 months, helping me get it all sorted and healed to get the piercing put back in. i will definitely be coming back to this location and to Cami for my next piercings in the future. Wonderful service, and the vibes overall in the place were great. and most importantly everything was done cleanly, everything was sanitary.“
