“Chips Salon is probably the first salon that ever made me feel like my authentic self for the first time ever. I grew up surrounded by those who didn’t know how to “tame” my hair, so I grew to dislike my curls very much. For years I had no clue what to do with my hair or style it. I straightened it all the time to the point where all of it was fried to the point of no return lol. I gave chips salon a shot with the thought of nothing to lose. Miss Onita is a life changer. She chopped off what she could and DEFINITELY showed me how to take care/style my hair. Literally didn’t know it was possible to see my curls in true form that it was. Now I sit 2 years later with longer, healthier curls. Will alwaysss be SUPER grateful for the help and great customer service I was shown from day 1. 10/10.“

“Best barbershop I’ve found in this area. I moved to Freehold a few years ago and it’s always hard to find a new barber. Tried this place because it had good reviews and could take walk ins. It’s easier to make an appointment I’ve learned but regardless, this place is great. No matter what barber you get, you’re going to get a good cut. Everyone here knows what they are doing and does it with finesse. You’re always gonna leave this place looking fresh as hell. I’ve had cuts from multiple barbers there and they’re always on point. I wish I knew all their names but I’ve had Christian a few times and hes dope, cuts hair really well. These guys are really good and it’s a chill spot , dont hesitate to try them. I moved a half hour away but I’m still coming here because these guys are that consistent. No need to go anywhere else for me.“
