The dermatologist I have been going to for many years sold his solo practice to this behemoth. His office is nice, staff very pleasant, he's still a great dermatologist. The billing and customer service have gone way downhill. First off, they send you an email telling you to go to their website and retrieve your bill, then pay it online. SEND ME A FREAKING BILL FOR MY RECORDS AND I WILL PAY YOU PROMPTLY. The more work you make it for me to pay, the less I like you! Most recently, I paid my bill but kept getting invoices. I called my bank and confirmed that my check had been cashed. I called the Metropolitan billing office and gave them the check number and the date the check was cashed. They told me that it's up to me to get a copy of the check and send it to them. I told them that I am not their unpaid clerk, and to check their records. They billed me again. I called the "support team" and was on hold for about 5 minutes. Someone answered but must have immediately hung up. Like I said, my doctor is great. Their billing department is terrible. When my doc retires I am definitely going to a different practice. They are a very low-service level company. AVOID!!!
Doc didn't even introduce herself to me. Just took me as if I was another one on the conveyor belt. I get it, it was evening time and I'm sure she had a long day. But damn. I guess it was more of a "consult" than an exam because she didn't really observe my skin. I was told some products I could get OTC and was on my way. I was in and out within 35 minutes.
