Community Psychiatric Institute

Community Psychiatric Institute, also known as CPI, is a mental health psychiatric behavioral program located at 67 Sanford Street in East Orange, New Jersey. The staff is professional and knowledgeable about mental health. CPI offers a supportive and client-centered environment with room for creativity in therapeutic activities. Clients attend on a 3 to 5 day a week schedule and have genuine love and compassion for one another, with no stereotypes or stigmas. The program has a nursing staff and psychiatrist on site. CPI offers breakfast, lunch, a food pantry, and a voucher room for clothes, soap, and toiletries. It also has a MICA program for clients with substance abuse issues. The counselors are friendly, supportive, well-educated, and like to help. The facility is clean and full of positivity.
