Shoe repair is a dying art. This gentleman is an elderly person who knows how to repair shoes. If you value shoes from years gone by and want to keep them, Sal is the person to repair or refinish them to perfection. I have used him many times and always worked out the cost before the work is done. Sal brought my nephews dress shoes back to looking as if they were brand new. I also had a pair of old Frye boots he made look like they did 45 years ago, While they do not fit me any more, a family member is wearing them loving the look. He has also repaired a $300 pair of platform shoes my niece did not want to part with and she is so happy with the outcome.

This is my go-to shop for shoe repair! The craftsmanship is excellent! I’ve had a pair of navy heels for years that I love. Shoes just aren’t made as well any longer. (The shoes are so pretty, comfortable and make my legs look nice!) Brought them to Sal and he resoled, reheeled and sewed the upper, and now they are even better than when they were new. Highly recommend Sal Lepre Shoe Repair in Dover!
What a craftsman! ... I stopped in with a pair of water damaged Sketcher's to see whether they were worth salvaging -- full expecting to drop them off. He stopped what he was doing and took care of me right then and there. Considering the leather had some cracks due to wear, they look as close to brand new as possible. Thanks much, Sal!
