I can’t recommend Clifton Dog & Cat enough for the incredible care they provided to my dog throughout his life, from puppyhood all the way to his end-of-life care. The compassion and dedication of the staff truly set them apart.

What impressed me the most was how their rates were lower than other vets I’ve encountered, yet the quality of service consistently went above and beyond my expectations. Each visit felt personalized, and the team always took the time to ensure my dog was comfortable and well-cared for, demonstrating genuine love for the animals they treat, and taking the time to educate us every step of the way.

I’ve seen some negative feedback, but I can't relate to those experiences. My interactions with the staff have always been respectful and informative. Their focus is clearly on providing the best possible care for our beloved pets, and they never made me feel rushed or undervalued.

We have been going to Clifton Dog and Cat Hospital for many years. Dr. Unay and now his son Dr Ed and his staff are very caring and compassionate. Over those years we’ve adopted many senior and special needs dogs from shelters and gave them the home every pet deserves. While it may not always be a long term commitment, it has always been rewarding. The Unay’s have assisted us in improving and maintaining the quality of life for our pets and being realistic about what could and should be done. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants personalized care for their furry family members.

Wow this place is nuts. That 80 year old woman rude and loves to talk over you. They were supposed to operate on my baby. 2 operations in one. They refuse to give me estimate for both of the operations and refused to call me for the operation. Last time I was there they complaining about their light bill. They trying to charge me 3,000 dollars to remove 4 teeth and spay. God is good, because of this rude old lady I found a better place. Will give me everything for half the price. They are not only rude but overpriced. BEWARE, BECAREFUL

During one of the most difficult times in my life, Dr. Unay and staff was there for me and my Pebbles. They are caring, professional, kind, empathetic and simply just home. Thank you for all you do‼️

I used to have my dog here as a patient but since left after a couple of years. Recently he got hit by a car and due to how convenient this practice is from where he was hit, we immediately went there to get him immediate help before needing to take him to a more specialized place. The staff refused to open the door to help out my limp dog and stated that they were closed. It was about 5:10-5:15 on Friday when this happened, and yes they were closing I assumed they stay longer to clean and prep for the next day. I didn't expect them to do much, but at least adminster some type of care like pain killers and make sure there's no TBI symptoms before transferring him.
I don't expect much from this practice, as I've said before. The quality and care this place had for my pup way before his accident was terrible. Series of BS test that gave us no answers, prescribed medications that had no effects as well as shots that didn't do much to help my dog when he was a sick patient with them for a few years. Their tech staff was also very aggressive when handling my dog. He is not one to put up a fight, growl and bark. They've squeezed him so hard sometimes he would leave with his eyes bloodshot from the force they used. If you want to waste your $ and time waiting for an answer, you can stay here. The only upside I've found with this place was getting my dog his yearly vaccines.
2025 Update: disgusting how they hide honest reviews. This office isn't organized right. Say they lost all my pets files there due to a new system they're using. I asked for paper copies, they tell me they can't find his chart whatsoever!

Wonderful experience with Dr. Eduardo Unay and Dr. Ed Unay, and the entire staff. The care our dog received was kind, thorough, and deeply intentional. The Vet Tech, Vanessa's, ability to handle our pet goes beyond expectation and very much appreciated!

Dr. Ed Unay is a dedicated, compassionate, knowledgeable veterinarian who demostrates excellence in both diagnosis and treatment of his patients like our Gizzy. Additionally, Dr. Unay is an excellent listener and communicator. He is always respectful, understanding and honest. The office staff and veterinarian assistants are a helpful, respectful and a caring team. Dr. Unay and his staff go above and beyond to provide exceptional care for Gizzy.
