He was knowledgeable and, instead of cloning my old failing chip, generated a new one, so any future issues will point to the immobilizer, not the key. A new remote fob (which feels more durable than the old one), with cutting and programming included, came out under $150 — a huge difference from what the competition charges for similar jobs. They also back their work with a one-year warranty. Highly recommend Abe and this shop for key or chip service!”

The Toyota dealer employees bounced me from parts to service and acted as though they weren't very familiar with the process. Even though it was for a 2004 car and was not a key fob, it still has a chip that must be programmed. They said that it would cost $275.00 and that the wait would be over 45 minutes. I called Colline Bros. and they were able to make the key in less than 15 minutes. They charged $110.00. They also provided a key for the door to avoid being locked out of the car if the ignition key is lost (does not work in the ignition.)”
