Locustwood Memorial Park

When my husband passed away several years ago, I realized that, like so many people, I had never really given much thought as to our final resting place. After talking with a few friends, I decided on Locustwood since it was a well established memorial park with a good reputation. I had so often passed by and always admired the beautiful and serene setting.I recently decided to make some advance preparations for my own burial in order to make things easier for my family when the time comes. Prior to my Dad’s passing in September of 2023, I contacted Locustwood to inquire about purchasing niches for both parents. My maternal grandparents are interred there and my parents desired to have this memorial park as their final resting place.Stephanie Glass has been my Family Service Counsellor from the beginning. She compassionately and clearly outlined several options and which allowed us to choose a beautiful area in the park. She periodically follows up to ensure that our present and future needs are accommodated.I appreciate all that Stephanie and the staff have done for us.

I stopped by the cemetery a few weeks ago and noticed some tree branches fell onto my family’s markers. I happened to see one of the cemetery workers close by and he came right over to remove all of the fallen branches and make sure there was no damage. He swept all of the markers, cleaned the whole area around the tree and took all of the debris away. He was very helpful and courteous the whole time he was there. Thank you !!!
