Eye Associates- Cherry Hill

My family has been going to Eye Associates in Cherry Hill, NJ for over 10 years. We see Dr. Drew Ricchiuti who’s fantastic- personable and thorough. The support staff is courteous and professional. The office runs on time, or close to it, whether we’re there for an annual routine eye exam or a visit for an evaluation of a change in vision.I purchased a pair of eyeglasses after today’s exam. Tammy, the optician, was wonderful. She’s impressively knowledgeable about frames, lenses, measurements, and insurance. Tammy patiently helped me choose a frame from the options I was considering. To start you will wait. This is part of an issue with medical all over where too many patients are scheduled in too short of a time that is a doctor and management issue. Profit over care. I had an appointment at 10:10am and was taken back close to 11am. Not the worst but definitely could be avoided. The main issue I have is I am now over a month since my appointment and they still do not have my contacts. No updates and no idea when/if they are coming in. Dr. Ricchiuti was great he did well with me and the optical staff and front desk were friendly and helpful. I am very disappointed with Dr.Tyson. I wrote him and even dropped in the Cherry Hill office and wrote another message to him and gave it to his assistant that assured me he would call me about the cataract surgery he performed on both of my eyes. I have had shadows and other problems but no calls from him which has now been over a week. He pushed me for five years to have the surgery done and now service after the sale is totally non existent. I guess the new owners have directed him that money from his procedures come first. Helping patients is a distant second.
