I want to thank Erik and Damaris for taking care of my son-in-law’s mom. It was an extremely painful time, as is ever when losing your loved one. But what was out of the ordinary was she passed away in Texas, while in hospice, and we needed to get her back home to NJ. Erik literally took care of everything. Indefatigable Service.
My mother passed in Texas and Erik made every call, took every action, and moved mountains for me and my family to bring her back home. He took care of me like a brother; and treated my family as his own. I am so grateful for everything his home has done, and have made new connections that will last a lifetime. For anyone who knows this funeral home or speaks with the owners, we will all say the same things.

There truly aren’t enough words to describe my gratitude towards Erik & Damaris for their kindness, compassion, and empathy shown towards our family after the devastating loss of our Mom. They guided us through every step of the way and created a beautiful service with intricate details that our mom would have loved. The Newbaker staff lifted a weight off of our shoulders wherever they could graciously. I will never forget their kindness, and I whole heartedly appreciate every effort to honor our mom’s life.
