Yesterday I went to this establishment. The setting isn’t professional, but I still went there to price braids. The owner was unwilling to help.she had so many excuses as to why she couldn’t do my hair.. first the hair was $220 before walking out $260. Probably when i got to the car it was going to be $300. Terrible way to do business. She told me her other stylist is a teacher and wasn’t available. She pretended to pull out a business card .. for her other stylist. Never gave me anything. Completely unprofessional. I never seen a business ran like this. Word of advice instead criticizing someone’s hair style “the braids have to be smaller and my hair is really short” just simply say no. I will never make the mistake of coming here again. I’m going somewhere else CHEAPER LOOKS LIKE THEY CAN DO A BETTER JOB and they respect my money and me as a customer. Good day

I've been coming to African American Braidings for the past 4 years and I instantly fell in love with owner, Ms. Bridgette and her team of professional hair stylists. I would never choose to go anywhere else to get my hair done (especially braids) because of the excellent expertiese care always done to my hair. The braids and other proective styles help my hair grow, become healthy, their comfortable, and long-lasting, I've never complained. I have been to this braiding place twice. More because of the price being low and me just needing a brake from my hair. This place is not the cleanest or most organized by any means at all but I was satisfied with my first appointment the second one I asked for a certain design cornrows in the front and box braids in the back the braids were nothing at all what I showed her in the photo the owner did her own design instead and when it was finished I didn’t even say anything because at this point I been sitting in your chair for hours im ready to go home I was very disappointed. needless to say I decided it’s been years since I booked an appointment let me go and try this place again I just wanted knotless braids can’t mess those up so I called on Sunday at 7:30 pm. online it says the hours are until 9:00pm and there is not a website for pricing,and on the automated voice message it says hours are flexible Monday and Sunday. So I didn’t see a problem with calling and leaving a voicemail asking for pricing and availability and a call back when possible. the owner Bridget called me from what I believe to be her personal number maybe, and she asked who is this I said my name and my reason for calling the shop her response was “your callin on a Sunday at 7:30 for pricing” and hung up the phone I called a few times and left a voicemail just in case the phone possibly disconnected but never received a call back and judging from her tone I’m pretty sure she hung up on me . keep in mind I left a voice message requesting pricing for an appointment in the future possibly next week not like I was asking for my hair to be done that day and why does it matter when I call if your shop is open you don’t know what I have going on in my personal life what if that was the only free moment I had that day or all week at that. if you were busy or closed and you got the voicemail on your phone and saw it you didn’t have to respond until the next day. But you chose to respond and be rude to a customer. So I will not be returning like I said the only reason I even considered this place as an option was because it’s been years since I last was there and the pricing was decent and I wanted to see what the pricing has changed to but after that I will most definitely not be returning.

My mother has come to this store before I was born and even after I continue to comeback time and time again. The quality of the braids and technique used keep me coming back even after moving. The way she braids leaves my hair feeling refreshed, clean, and non of my baby hairs are left damaged. The way she even braids allows me to not have any headaches so commonly felt by every other braider. She even does the hair in a timely fashion having me out of the chair in around 3 hours or less. When I leave I can basically put up my hair if I wanted. Even with this the braids last for months on end without looking old. If you want a reliable braider that will leave you feeling confident and proud to show off your hair definitely call Bridget. You will never be failed by Bridget and her team.
