Somerset Hills handled my husband's cremation. He is not interred there, but on two separate occasions they have graciously helped me, both with placing his ashes in an urn I had purchased, and then later with re-opening the urn to place some small mementos inside it. The entire staff there is wonderful and very accommodating. There was no charge for either of the additional services they provided to me, and their hours of operation are extremely convenient. I highly recommend Somerset Hills Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum.

My family, relatives and I have been to this place years ago this was because to bring flowers there and to pay the respect of our relatives that have passed away and their urns there.

My mom is buried in the mausoleum. She passed in 2021 and from the start we have had issues with the staff throwing away perfectly good flowers. I had bought a rose in a glass container so that she would always have something. She loved flowers. Now that’s gone along with a bottle containing an orchid and an ornament with her picture on it. The woman in charge could not care less and is militant and frankly rude. I do not recommend burying your loved one here. Cold as heck. They say flowers attract bugs, so we keep them fresh. But how does a rose inside a fluid filled glass jar, and orchid in a glass liquid filled bottle and an ornament attract bugs? Those items were there for a few years and they just decided to move them. No respect, no cooperation. Disgusting.

We were very happy with the service we received from Barbara and the rest of the staff. We recently brought our aunt’s ashes home from Chicago to New Jersey to be buried next to her late husband. Everything we discussed with Barbara over the phone was done exactly as requested. When we arrived at the cemetery for the burial service we were met by a very nice young gentleman that escorted us to the site and made sure everyone that wanted a chair had one. Barbara has since followed up and even sent pics of the recently installed grave stone. Highly recommended!

We want to thank Barbara and the rest of the staff for the wonderful way they worked with us after our aunts recent passing. We are in the Chicago area and wanted to bring our aunts ashes home to New Jersey to be buried next to her husband at Somerset Hills. Everything was done exactly as promised and when we arrived for the internment we were met by a very nice young gentleman that helped us navigate our way to the grave site. Barbara has since followed up and sent us pics of the installed head stone. Highly recommended!

We are so totally comforted by the stellar service and administration of everything for our late father's final resting place. Thank you to all who make it happen.

After my late father's surprise passing away, we were surprised by this part of the process, his final burial place. We had the loose idea he wanted to keep it simple for his surviving family members and to be near the kids, me, so we naturally chose SHMP whose local reputation across decades is well known for reliable, respectful, and professional administration. I can after buying 2 niches (these are burial spots in a columbarium which is for urns whereas a mausoleum is for caskets), say the staff here are so totally gentle, gracious, fair, and understanding. The immense many emotions which surround the such are complex, but our initial outreach with coordinator Ennio is beyond reproach with his deep personal empathy and big heart for all patrons' human stories. Gina W. the administrator is totally on par with all the many paperwork and regulatory bits which could be a drag but she makes it all aplomb with a kind heart. The property and all its details are so thoughtfully decorated. All maintenance and facilities are so highly done as to instill high confidence. We chose the "Clearview" niches which have a clear view of the ground soutside, as the name implies. The famously beautiful views from the hills of Ridge across the Watchung Mountains towards the south and west are childhood faves for me and lifelong faves for my father so we are so totally comforted that he shall forever look out to the beloved area. It means a lot to us that the staff exhibit the care to make the view happen with perfect beauty daily.Thank you to all the staff for so much compassion and care for our father's resting place. We visit regularly to accompany him and also to enjoy his new surroundings together.

Somerset Hill Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum is set in a beautiful location. The setting in one of trees and long views into the valley. A lot of opens for a final resting burial location for an individual or family. My Grandmother was laid to rest here back in 1982 - such a peaceful beautiful place.

Working in the business, we deal with SMHP many times a month. The staff are courteous, the facilities are spotless. Meanwhile, the surroundings are tailored for families to either lay their loved ones to rest, or to make their final arrangements with the ability to visit the location in the future where the loved ones will be entombed. Every person here is polite, caring, and respectful. We've worked with them for 25 years. A great service-oriented business that cares for every family.
