Think carefully about solely relying on this practice for cancer treatment. Ensure you are seeing an established oncologist as well. I visited this practice and promptly dismissed it after spending hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket on the initial visit. The primary reason for my not proceeding with working with this practice is that I was immediately provided with a proposed protocol consisting of a huge amount of supplements and some alternative therapies that would've cost me several thousand dollars out-of-pocket a month. This felt wrong to me. I instead went to New England Cancer Care Specialists and created my own supplement protocol consisting of only supplements that are backed by clinical trials that help support my body during chemotherapy and beyond. I also focused on maintaining muscle mass, walking, relaxation techniques, good sleep, eating a combination Mediterranean/keto diet, acupuncture treatments, and engaging in life to find joy. As a result of these choices and my body's unique genetic makeup I have been living with stage four colorectal cancer for seven years and intend to live for many more. For full disclosure, I visited the practice in 2019. I delayed writing this review because I was too busy with ensuring I was doing all I could to not just live, but to thrive with stage four colorectal cancer. What prompted me to write it now was meeting somebody last week who had been relying solely on a different naturopathic practice to help him manage his stage one cancer. As a result of this choice, his cancer is now stage three and he is seeking traditional oncology treatments. The takeaway here is that it is wise to balance alternative cancer management treatments with traditional, proven approaches. Best of luck on your cancer journey. Be sure to do extensive research before acting and try not to panic even though this is hard after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Fear can drive you to make decisions that are not the best for long-term survival.

I’m writing this review, and very much contemplated writing it. I want to start off by saying everyone was very friendly and welcoming, but for the extreme price you pay at the door to speak with the naturopathic oncologist, I feel like we got completely scammed.
Upon coming into this appointment, we specifically asked the oncologist during our 15 minute consult, “do you know anything about the cancer my son has?” (Specifically neuroblastoma) We received a straight forward answer of, yes and that he has had patients with neuroblastoma in the past.
This is not the impression we got when we were meeting with him yesterday. Numerous times he just kept mentioning adult cancers like breast cancer and pancreatic cancers and what supplements are known to help those specific cancers. My husband and I asked quite a few times during the meeting, “what about neuroblastoma?”
This is when the oncologist sat back and took his glasses off to say, these supplements could potentially have anti cancer properties for all, but I would have to research neuroblastoma more. When we asked about our son’s specific genetic markers, Dr. Bier had no idea and told us that he would need to take a deep dive into his history and he would need to charge us more money for that.
We know that we were not getting some miracle drug to prevent relapse, but we also expected a more knowledgeable oncologist about our 4 year old son’s cancer type especially asking before hand, prior to spending $600.00.
Essentially, the oncologist talked to us about not giving our son sugar, asked how his sleep was and said to take melatonin, recommended electrolytes that he is already on, multivitamin and fish oil. He also pulled up another patient and compared to my son which they had nothing in common medically. My son did not have a NF1 gene and he just kept mentioning this and recommending medicines that he gave this child instead. We feel so upset and disappointed that this doctor knew nothing about neuroblastoma, but told us he did.
We feel completely scammed. We then received another 300.00 bill for melatonin, electrolyte drink, multivitamin and fish oil. All supplements he has made through a company. Selling his own supplements. He then told us we would have a free 30 minute appointment follow up in 2 weeks.
I also want to note that during our 15 min consult, Dr. Bier claims to have thousands of research articles, but we were not presented with any for our son’s particular diagnosis, let alone any at all.
After the appointment, my husband went to the desk while I was helping my son in the bathroom to where they told him the appointment was not free and it was already paid ahead of time and included in the 600.00.
Then we were given a “book” at the end of the visit that we were told would be specialized for our son, but came to realize this book is given to every single patient with just little side notes on it. Nothing about this was individualized.
We had no problem paying this money for valuable information.. but this was a complete scam with a doctor who just sat there staring at his computer and asked questions that were irrelevant to the cancer. We are parents that have been struggling financially and with one parent being out of work, this is just cruel.

Dr. Bier is knowledgable and expensive. I appreciate the services he offers that are hard to find elsewhere and the out-of-the-box thinking about treatments. He is also quite frank, which may be off-putting to some but is appreciated if you want the possibly grim truth about your condition without being given false hope. However, if you are coming to him as someone who has received a fatal diagnosis, as my family member did, you will find his services dwindle as the patient does. And what I mean by that is the distinct impression that he will not be making money off of the patient after a certain point and becomes hard to reach when the going gets tough. He seems to give plenty of attention when you are still healthy enough to keep paying, but if you are terminal he tries to milk it up front. As my family member declined, he pawned us off on his staff instead of giving the direct attention he did in the beginning. But if you can afford the high cost of his care and are not terminal it's probably worth trying him out.

My family (wife and 3 children) and I have worked with Dr. Bier since 2019. Since then, HNNH has been an incredible source of support for my family. Dr. Bier's rational and individualized approach is critical to us, and the results are apparent. Whether it be a cold, pneumonia, strep, anxiety, or adjustments to how we eat, Dr. Bier has provided safe and effective solutions that don't just focus on symptoms but support the body and address the root cause. We are individuals and should be treated as such, especially regarding health and wellness.

I have been a breast cancer patient at Human Nature Natural Health for the past year. I am so thankful for all the support I have received. Dr. Bier and his staff have been totally committed to supporting me through a wholistic approach. I have an individualized plan developed specifically to meet my needs through diet, nutritional supplements and treatments. Dr. Bier freely shares his knowledge to not only support me, but to empower me to take the responsibility to successfully achieve maximum health. I continue to make incredible progress on my journey to heal. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Dr. Bier and his staff!

I'm so grateful for Dr Bier and the HNNH staff for their prompt reply whenever I reach out to them. Trail hiking every morning with my dogs, rain or shine, is my devotional, peaceful, reset time. This was until an early bloom of ragweed and goldenrod had me reaching for tissues instead of paying attention to my dog's 30 long lines. As if choreographed, a daring cotton tail bolted in front of my trusty canines. In a blink I was launched airborn into a full face plant! I couldn't have called HNNH faster for full allergy combat......which I promptly, thankfully received! Now I'm hiking my favorite field and wooded loops without a barrage of sneezing, weepy eyes, and runny noses and face plants. Dr Bier, a gifted doctor, supported me through breast cancer (8 years clean), along with back, skin, and foot ailments. At 68 years young, because of my excellent health and stamina, I'm able to care for the needs of my aging family and friends. I am so very blessed by the HNNH staff.

Dr. Bier is truly one of a kind. He is everything one could wish for as a physician … kind, dedicated to his work, , thinks “outside the box” backed up with all the latest and most pertinent research ,extremely intelligent, and thoughtful. Dr Coppola is also excellent and lovely to deal with as well. These doctors always get back to questions in a timely and informative manner. I never feel I am being taken advantage of with their rates and compared to other similar doctors I have dealt with they are more fair with their charges. The office staff is EXCELELNT and again always get back right away. I love this group of dedicated professionals.
