I had my first appointment with Dr. Andrew this afternoon. Unfortunately, I have a significant amount of dental work in my future. However, Andrew was clear and thorough in his explanation of my situation. He spent time to make sure I understood the issues with my teeth and the options at hand, and allowed me time and space to ask the questions i had along the way. He seemed empathic, kind, and competent, and while i’m not looking forward to extensive dental work, I feel like I’m going to be in good hands with him and his team (everyone involved in my visit was friendly, caring, and seemed fully competent in their roles).

Another successful visit! I have always hated going to the dentist but these folks made my visit much easier to deal with. The receptionist was pleasant, didn’t have to wait long, the hygienist was very thorough, and Dr Harvey Jr was great. See you in 6 months.

I went into Harvey Dentist today with an Emergency after a large filling came out and left a very sharp edge, which was cutting my tongue, it was very painful . I did have an appointment for the following Tuesday so I went down to pick up some antibiotics which I have to take before. I have work done on my teeth. Dr Harvey asked me how I was doing, and I told him the pain I was in and I don’t have an appointment until Tuesday. he said come in here and sit down and we will take care of you. He drilled the sharp edge until it was no longer cutting into my tongue
I told him I don’t have any dental insurance anymore. He then offered me a plan for people with no insurance. Well what a terrific plan this is I encourage anybody that does not have dental insurance to go to Dr Harvey‘s on Islington Street Portsmouth NH and get this Dental plan they offer. They did several x-rays and my appointment with them for Tuesday is also covered under this plan. It covers cleaning 2x a year, Dr’s Exam 1 or 2 per year, all necessary X-Rays plus an emergency exam per year, all for a terrific price of only $30 a month. Plus a 15% discount on restorative treatment performed at Harvey Dental. Everyone there is so welcoming and cheerful,
and treat you like family.

Been going to Harvey dentistry for over 40 years and never had a bad experience. Love seeing the younger family (son and daughter) join their grand father’s practice bringing with them the new technology and experience.
