I received an absolutely luxurious manicure. She was so welcoming, and made us feel at home while providing excellent service. We were in town for a few days and decided to do a spa day after a day of hiking. I can’t imagine there is any other place better than Luminous Day Spa! It was the perfect accompaniment to our short stay at the Woodstock inn brewery in the white mountains. We will be back again.

I was so glad to have Melissa for my special day! My wedding hair came out exactly how we planned it during the trial, and I couldn’t be happier! She was so understanding and willing to work with me and my wedding day nerves, it was clear her experience brings a lot of patience. I have referred many friends and my own customers that I have to her when they’re in the area. She is the go to for wedding hair, cuts, color and body treatments. I hired Melissa for my wedding and she brought her assistant Nicole along who was in charge of my maid of Honor's hair. Nicole did a horrible up-do that resembled a frizzy rat's nest which we asked her to fix, she quickly gave us an attitude and blamed it on my sister's hair type. Needless to say my sister had to do her own hair for the wedding and because of that there was not enough time for makeup to be done.When I contacted Melissa (the owner) she was highly unprofessional and rude. I requested that she at least refund me the additional $100 she charged me on top of the $200 travel fee because she mixed up my hotel location. She refused, stating I should have said something earlier about the additional fee and that's why she doesn't like to travel outside of the spa. I am disgusted and heartbroken.Service: Hairstyling

THIS PLACE DESERVES ZERO STAR!!!! Absolutely disgusted with this establishment. Owner and hairdresser were both xtremely unprofessional and rude. Once I mentioned I didn't like my hair, how it appeared very frizzy she blamed it on "my hair". She didn't even try to rectify the situation. After that point she began to manage my hair aggressively and became short and had a attitude. Worst experience ever with a "hair dresser". Ladies no matter how close this place is to you, save your time and money. They use cheap products and makeup. Not worth your time.Service: Hairstyling
