The Exeter Area YMCA is a 33,000 square foot multi-generational health and wellness center. The Y is a place for socializing, discovering wellness, exercising, getting support, finding freedom and so much more. The YMCA offers extensive Financial Assistance to all families in need, ensuring that no one is turned away due to the cost of programming. From preschool to wellness for older adults, the Y provides life-changing programs for the community. While it lacks a pool, the Exeter YMCA is praised for its excellent staff, good facilities, and a wide range of recreational opportunities. The gym is well-equipped, with the best lifting equipment, and is generally kept clean.
The YMCA is good overall and I would recommend it. All of the adult staff is friendly and my kids can hang out and play ping pong or shoot hoops while I work out. It can get busy at certain times but generally you get what you need. My only 2 issues: 1. NO POOL! 2. It could use more consistent cleaning (the younger staff seem more interested in working out than doing actual work). Overall I like the Y.
I have been going to this facility 3-5 times per week on average for the past 7 months. Typically, I go with 2 other individuals. This is a terrific place, with excellent staff, very good facilities, and, in general, a lot of opportunities for positive recreational experiences. I would recommend the Exeter YMCA to anyone!!
The Exeter Area YMCA is an immaculately clean and motivational environment to be in. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the group ex instructors are amazing! The Y offers over 45 group ex classes for every fitness level. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
