The Library is an historic landmark in Portsmouth, NH. It is now a restaurant but it was once a hotel for visiting dignitaries. If I'm not mistaken, Teddy Roosevelt once stayed there. Diners will be treated to an ambiance unlike no other in P-town: dark mahogany walls and shelves, a tin ceiling with individually painted tiles, and yes, books on shelves. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the staff. They weren't very...hospitable, however, give them the benefit of the doubt and try this place with your sweetheart.“
