“Warning: you need a reservation for this place! We tried getting dinner here at 5 PM, last Saturday (i.e. 5/27/2021) and we were turned away. However, before leaving, we easily made a reservation for the following evening at 6 PM.Best steak in Portsmouth--maybe even all of Southern New Hampshire. The Library is an historic landmark in Portsmouth, NH. It is now a restaurant but it was once a hotel for visiting dignitaries. If I'm not mistaken, Teddy Roosevelt once stayed there. Diners will be treated to an ambiance unlike no other in P-town: dark mahogany walls and shelves, a tin ceiling with individually painted tiles, and yes, books on shelves. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the staff. They weren't very...hospitable, however, give them the benefit of the doubt and try this place with your sweetheart.“

“I am new to Hair Daze, my hairdresser Holly moved here from another salon, and I could not be happier with this upbeat environment. Holly is my longtime hairdresser and I cannot say enough great things about her skill sets. She is personable and detail oriented and I am often known to show up and say “you are the expert, let me know how best to shake it up” and she never disappoints. The space is very clean and everyone is friendly. I also met an aesthetician there, Emma, and booked a facial. My facial experience was professional and thorough. Emma did a great job learning about my skin experience and analyzing what I needed to provide a custom treatment for my skin care. She does not push her product however, if you ask she will make expert recommendations. I like that I have a one stop shop for my hair and skincare needs! Thank you Hair Daze for a wonderful experience all around.“
