“Warning: you need a reservation for this place! We tried getting dinner here at 5 PM, last Saturday (i.e. 5/27/2021) and we were turned away. However, before leaving, we easily made a reservation for the following evening at 6 PM.Best steak in Portsmouth--maybe even all of Southern New Hampshire. The Library is an historic landmark in Portsmouth, NH. It is now a restaurant but it was once a hotel for visiting dignitaries. If I'm not mistaken, Teddy Roosevelt once stayed there. Diners will be treated to an ambiance unlike no other in P-town: dark mahogany walls and shelves, a tin ceiling with individually painted tiles, and yes, books on shelves. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the staff. They weren't very...hospitable, however, give them the benefit of the doubt and try this place with your sweetheart.“

Heidi, Claire, Jaylyn, and Jessica all did amazing work and our hair and makeup stayed all night. I highly recommend this salon for wedding hair and makeup!“
