Papillion Family Medicine

We had been patients for over 8 years and never were in the care of Dr. Naegele but we were with his PA. Our 2 children have been coming to the office with us since they were 5 and 6 years old. Never had a bad experience with the PA's at this office but Dr. Naegele just recently sent us a letter saying that we are not allowed back to their office. This is because my husband was not cleared for his outpatient elbow surgery and he just wanted the doctor to call to explain why and give us his test results. No one called and we kept getting the run around and then the letter. This is not how you treat patients, especially ones who have been under your care for 8 years. We have now been told that they are going to charge us $20 a person to have our records transfered to another office. If I were anyone in Papillion, Ne....think twice before you go to this office.

Staff is always very friendly and nice. Dr. Naegle is a fantastic person and one of the best doctors we have ever had.

I was under Dr. Naegele’s care for over 20 years, and during that time, he provided adequate medical care that supported my health needs. His approach is blunt and straightforward, which may suit some patients, particularly those accustomed to a direct style, such as military veterans. However, his bedside manner may not resonate with everyone, as it can feel brisk and less focused on personalized health goals.
In recent years, I noticed a shift in my experience. Appointments felt increasingly rushed, often lasting five minutes or less, which made it challenging to address my concerns thoroughly. I also encountered issues with a knee replacement surgery, which he denied three times based on secondary lab results that I found unclear or inconsistent. Additionally, when transitioning to a new physician, I faced difficulties obtaining my medical records, including a previously completed EKG, despite signing a release form. I was informed by the office staff that record transfers could take up to 30 days, which delayed my care with the new provider.
The office staff were generally polite but seemed cautious in their interactions, and I observed frequent staff turnover. On a positive note, his practice consistently offered same-day or next-day appointments, which was convenient for urgent needs.
Overall, while Dr. Naegele’s care was sufficient for many years, my recent experiences led me to seek a provider better aligned with my current health goals.

Every person in this office is kind, understanding, and professional. No matter how busy the day, they always answer the phone with a tone that feels like they have nothing to do but answer my questions.

I switched to this office a couple of years ago and it’s a change I wish I made a lot sooner. I really appreciate everyone here and all that they do. They’ve always been very kind and patient with me. The office manager even called me last year to say they’re still going to take my insurance after the whole mess CHI and Aetna had, which was a huge weight off my shoulders at the time. They’ve been really great about calling me to get appointments scheduled and get results back to me. I highly recommend them

Dr. Mantler is the best! He actually cares about his patients and takes the time to listen to me. I never feel rushed. Highly recommend.

Doctor was funny and helpful.
Reception was kind however I asked to confirm that I was in network. They looked into it but never gave me a reply to that.

Dr. Mantler has been my PCP since I left my pediatrician 20 years ago. I have never had any issues with Papillion family Medicine and highly recommend Dr. Mantler.

Awesome Doctor. Dr. Naegele and his staff can tell when you're anxious about an issue and will professionally explain explain to you what is happening.

I have had great experiences everytime I have visited Papillion Family Medicine. Dr. Mantler is very thorough and takes the time to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend him and this facility!
