We were in the market for a new viola for our son. We were able to quickly correspond via email and my questions were clearly answered. The gentleman at the actual shop was very knowledgeable and provided us with excellent assistance. While we did not find the perfect fit for my son here they still deserve an excellent review for all their time and help to us!

Bought my second cello here and restring all my bows. Best in Omaha and it’s not close. If you are serious about purchasing a quality instrument and you don’t want to travel to Chicago to William H Lee or another maker, it is the place to go.

I have been a customer of Nielsen's Violin Shop for two generations of Nielsens. I bought my much loved, first professional level bow from Chris Nielsen's father with my high school graduation money. Since then, my students and I have purchased many instruments, accessories and repairs there. Chris Nielsen is honest, considerate, knowledgable, and has curated a nice range of instruments for purchase. He also has a very favorable rental program. I can confidently send students to him for decent quality rentals.
